Is there a fixed sermorelin test checklist?
As of September 2026, there was no current FDA-reviewed information sheet or FDA test checklist for sermorelin.
FDA means the Food and Drug Administration. Here, “drug label” means the full information sheet for a medicine, including its uses and warnings. It is more than the writing on a bottle.
A hormone is a substance the body makes to carry a message from one part of the body to another.
The studies measured growth hormone and IGF-1, another substance in the body involved in growth.
They also tracked blood fats and blood sugar after a period without food.
That describes the studies; it is not a test plan for an individual patient.
Does every prescription require blood tests?
There was no blanket federal requirement to test blood ahead of each prescription as of September 2026.
You may still need tests because of your state’s rules, your medical needs or special rules for a particular medicine.
Medical-board advice says any needed tests and examinations must take place. A doctor may perform them, make arrangements for them or refer you elsewhere for them.
Ask why a test is needed for your concern and what the doctor would do differently with the result.
Who explains the result?
Ask who reviews it, how the explanation reaches you and what happens if the result needs more work. Keep the test’s name beside the question it is meant to answer.
If the proposed care rests on a blood number, ask how that number fits your symptoms and the rest of the assessment.
